expertly guiding you through the process in mental health care treatment
We are here for you and your loved ones at Galen Hope. Our experienced staff provides compassionate support every step of the way for our mental health care programs, beginning with an initial assessment all the way to community and family reintegration. Contact our admissions team for more information on what to expect before, during, and after the admissions process.
comprehensive assessment
Your recovery journey begins with a comprehensive assessment, including a detailed history of your medical, psychological, social, and spiritual background. We will also speak to other providers you may be seeing. We want to understand where you’ve been and your current struggles, so that we can recommend the level of care that will best address your needs. From there, our team – including our psychiatrists, therapists, dietitians, nurse practitioner, and care partners – work collaboratively to develop a treatment plan, individualized to you.
focus on community integration
We provide care in the least restrictive environments possible. However, we understand that our clients are giving up a certain degree of freedom when they enter our treatment center. It is our utmost goal that our clients regain not only that freedom, but relief from their mental health symptoms. Assertive community treatment is foundational to our program. Each step of the way, to the extent their conditions allow, we purposefully and intentionally guide our clients in building the self-confidence and skills they need to thrive in the long term.
the family journey
When a family decides to send their loved one to treatment, they may experience a range of emotions. Stress and worry, to be sure. Grief, frustration, and anger are also common. They also may be fearful for their loved one’s health and safety.
When families entrust us with caring for their loved one, it’s important for them to know that our clients are treated with compassion and respect. We don’t focus solely on our clients’ struggles. We help them to see their strengths. Then we work to build on those strengths, which are key to sustaining recovery.
We understand that you are worried, and you may have been through a lot. As we help your loved one, we are also here to support you – whether that is answering questions or preparing you to support your loved one in their healing journey.
Our family program provides high-frequency family therapy sessions, family coaching, caregiver support groups, and a monthly family education day that includes a multi-family group, psychoeducation, and a meal experiential for the loved ones of our clients with eating disorders. We also offer a weekly preadmission group for those are supporting someone who is going through the assessment process, to answer questions about what to expect should their loved one admit to treatment.
Our clinical team and care partners are available to you, ensuring that you are a part of the therapeutic process. As your loved one progresses in their recovery, we will also guide you in relating to your loved ones in new ways.
